This exhibition memorializes the forgotten history of the South African slave trade in the 1700s and 1800s. Thousands of slaves were brought to the Slave Lodge (where the exhibition is held) and stripped of their identities, with many being named for the month in which they arrived. The exhibit features photos and audio of the descendants of the slaves, giving biographical details to remember those forgotten.
